Plakát Martin Janecký

The Glass Museum Nový Bor organized an authorial exhibition of the young glass artist, Martin Janecký. He moved glass blowing technigue to glass sculpture. Exacting hand-crafted glass statues of magicians, clowns and even of animals show the uniqueness of his creation, which consists in searching of new ways how to shape hot glass. During the work he doesn´t form glass only from the external side as it is common, but from the interior side of the parison. Martin Janecký is one of the typical bearers of glass tradition. At the age of 13 he started to work with glass at his father´s glassworks and gained valuable experience in abroad (Sweden, The Netherlands, South Africa, USA, Canada).

The Glass Museum was honoured to be able to organize his first authorial exhibition  in the Czech Republic, because Nový Bor is that place where Martin Janecký got glass craftmenship education.

The exhibition was opened to the public from 16th November until 1st March 2015.
